On other projects, I start at the top corner and work a color until it comes to a natural stopping point, then move on to the next color underneath it. Other times, I move to a specific part of the chart that I really want to do and just work there for a while! I've found that doing what feels right when it comes to stitching works best for me rather than sticking to one particular set of rules.Lauren - Ambitious Stitcheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04824940964063253589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-495220306638376461.post-78101263528902291102011-07-26T08:29:10.694-03:002011-07-26T08:29:10.694-03:00You work is wonderful =)

Some days I just take the one that is next to the stitch I just made and some days I just feel like certein colors =)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-495220306638376461.post-6322482599003329532011-07-25T23:38:58.688-03:002011-07-25T23:38:58.688-03:00I'm with Joysze and weestitchy.com .. I tend to leave the confetti stitches for last so that I can weave the thread under other stitches as I hop all over the place.Adriennehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17664366609729845784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-495220306638376461.post-29854746202856698602011-07-25T22:38:24.690-03:002011-07-25T22:38:24.690-03:00what a pretty background though!

(well with HAEDs anyways, with other projects I just pick one) I stitch by row in HAEDs.Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10215170722551366316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-495220306638376461.post-90705614708670610872011-07-25T21:20:33.401-03:002011-07-25T21:20:33.401-03:00What a great question. On projects that I've gridded, I work all the confetti stitches first, then the medium stitches, then the most prevalent color last. I do it this way so I can fill in the most prevalent color more quickly, without having to constantly look at the chart. For other things, I do the symbols in bands or sections. If it's layers, like Astral Lion, I do them in layers as they go, building towards the bottom of the page. If I have sections to do, then it's really random. Whatever strikes my fancy, lol. At least the background is a pretty one!! It's looking good Vani. Keep up the good work!mdgtjuliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06665956958250175869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-495220306638376461.post-47129499129957839592011-07-25T19:09:44.971-03:002011-07-25T19:09:44.971-03:00Ooooooooh, I like I like. You know.... getting the background done just means the the more 'boring' part is done with and you can get to the interesting parts. :D

I stitch cross country, so my first color is always the color of majority... then do the next most and so on and so forth. I like stitching up from bottom left, so that dictates which symbols starts as well.Joyszehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03428456408840860137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-495220306638376461.post-67517280631923160952011-07-25T16:49:03.420-03:002011-07-25T16:49:03.420-03:00first of all i cant wait to see the picture of the...first of all i cant wait to see the picture of the picture of you and your husband that Michelle charted for you, as for your stitching question i chose what symbol i am going to stitch next by either chosing what comes next, but normally i stitch the ones with the most stitches on the page, i then pick the next and so on, so i am then left with just small confetti stitchesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
