Shore Line Village

Its been a few days since I last posted.  I am happy to say that even though I haven't posted, I have been stitching!  The page I am working on now looks a little dark, as lots of dark browns, dark greens and black have gone in.  But I know through experience that once those single colored stitches go in surrounded by the dark patches, they really pop and make the picture!!!

Right now the bottom is filling out first, because that is the order in which I picked what symbol to stitch next.  I look forward to the end of this page.  I hope to get there this weekend, but life may get in the way!

IHSW September - Shore Line Village

So this past weekend was International Hermit and Stitch weekend. Is it just me or are these weekends coming sooner and sooner!  I had every intention of Hermitting myself away with my Shoreline, but unfortunetly life doesn't work that way.  I am sad to say that a close family friend passed away on Thursday, so my weekend was busy with spending time with his family and mine and remembering the good times.  

So I decided to make my own IHSW, I postponed mine to Monday and Tuesday.  So that will explain why I am so late in posting my IHSW post!  As soon as things quieted down I pulled out my Shore Line Village.   I am diligently working away on this 7th page.  As I cross country I find that it may take a while for the picture to pull itself together.  I seem to be getting closer to my goal!

I am sorry for the less than perfect picture.  It is a little blurry, I promise the next one will be better!

The greenness is filling out nicely on the sides of the pathway, funnily enough I added more Dark Brown and Darker Brown, not green!  But they do help highlight the green that is there!

IHSW Coming Up!

For IHSW I have chosen to work on Shore Line Village!  Here is my before shot...

I really hope to make some nice progress on this page.  I am eager to see the Walkway fill out and to see the detail on the sides emerge!  I am also looking forward to seeing what all you other hermiters are up to and what you are going to be stitching on.  I have to say that its nice to see the numbers so high lately with participants!! QS Terra Fairy Sprite 13889 / 34595

So I have a little update on my QS Terra Fairy Sprite.  I am really happy with the progress on this one!  The wings are starting to take shape nicely!

Slowly but surely, progress...

I have decided that her place in my rotation will be every Friday.  I think a couple of more stitching sessions on this and I should get this row finished.  What you see now is the end of the row, but I am stitching Page 2 and 3 together as 3 is a partial page!  I can't wait to finish her!

At the end of the week I will be able to post a pic of my new start!  Can you guess what it is.  Shouldn't be hard,  I have added a picture of it to the side bar!!!  I will keep you in suspense (at least picture wise) until then!
