Animal Babies - Finished!

I wanted to start the new year with a finish so I've been holding off on posting in the new year.  First, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year!  Hope 2012 is a fabulous year!  I am clebrating the new year with my 101st post, and a fabulous finish!  Those of you who have been following me these last few months know about my best friend who is very special to me.  I wanted to do something for her to celebrate her becoming a mom for the third time!  So I searched and since I had always wanted to do these adorable Animal Babies by EMS I decided to give it a go.  I picked out the animals to match each of her children.  And I would like to share the results with you.  You have already seen the finished products of the first two, but I have them now framed so they are totally completed now.

I wanted to try my hand at framing them my self to see if I could do it.  I was a little hesitant, but thanks to my fellow blogger's tutorial , thanks Joyse!  I was able to do it, and I have to say I am very happy with the results, hope you all like them too.  Bare with me and my multitude of photos!!!

I hope my friend will love them as much as I do, otherwise I will keep them!!!

Now that this is done, I am back to stitching my HAEDs.  I will be starting the new year with a new start QS Siberian Forest.

Animal Babies - Hedgehog - FINISHED!

Yea!!! She's finished!!!!  So Cute!

Now on to the next one.  The next one is the Peocock baby.  I will post about that soon, with the picture of how she should look, and my first wips!  I have everything ready to go for tonight.  All gridded and waiting to get started!!!  Cant wait.  I have a feeling although it will be colorful, I think if will be the hardest and the biggest of the three.  I'm hoping it doesn't take too long as I would like to spend some time the rest of December finishing some other small HAED projects so that my WIP list isn't so long next year!

Animal Babies - Hedgehog Day 10 &11

As I get over is annoying cold, I have been trying to keep at this adorable little hedgehog!  Makeing some progress, hope to finish this before the weekend.  Lets see!

So that completes the flowers!!! All thats left is the bottom part of the chart which is just the ground shadowing and the stems of the flowers!  I hope to get that done tonight!!!

Animal Babies - Hedgehog Day 9

Ive had a little cold lately and it has drained my energy.  So I have only managed a little.  Little baby Hedgehog is filling out.

Animal Babies - Hedgehog Day 7 & 8

Everything is coming together!  The yellow flowers are done, now just the baby and the blue flowers. Oh and the backstitching!

Animal Babies - Hedgehog Day 6

I am really happy with the way this one progressing.  I am however not happy with my camera, which didn't save some of my photos!  So even though I had added many more colors, I only have two pictures to show!

 

 I love how just that little bit of green makes such a difference!  The flowers on the left are done except for the back stitching.  And the flowers on the right are done except for back stitching and the centers!

I finally got back to the flowers!  I forgot to take a picture after the first color for day 5, so this first picture has actually two colors of orangey yellow colors added.  

I think the colors a re a nice match for the little one!

The little one is done!....Sort of...At least his body anyway!

I'm hoping that now that the relatively hard part is done the rest will go fairly quickly!  I'm looking forward to colors other than shades of beige!

Animal Babies - Hedgehog Day 2

Hey all!  This little hedgehog sure is filled with tons of confetti in just a small area!  Lots of different browns!

Already so cute!  The brown confetti is a headache, especially if I find I've missed a stitch!  But I think it's worth it!

I can't wait to get to her chubby little legs!  And I am looking forward to the colorful flowers to come!

November IHSW & Animal Babies - Hedgehog Day 1

I am happy to say that I actually got a chance to do some hermitting!  As you can see from my previous post during my Hermit weekend I finished my Caterpillar Baby!

And then I also had a chance to start Baby Hedgehog!

Believe it or not that's three different shades of yellow.  This time I am going to take a photo after each color is added.  I liked how that was documented last time.
