2012 WIPOCALYPSE

Shore Line Village 46433 / 161550 & Janani's Update

Hi everyone!  I have a small update on my shoreline to share.  I was glad I got a chance to work on some color last night.  I put a few stitches in the flower bushes yesterday! 

And a close up of the pink stitches I put in.  

And here is my Janani's update! Here is what she had done the last time I posted about her project!

And here is what she did last night, this is the second side to the box we are making!

I'm glad she is enjoying herself with this!  Once this is done I have to think of another simple project until she's old enough to work with fabric!

Winter Wings & Shore Line Village

In my rotation I usually work on SK Winter Wings on the 24th and the 25th of every month.  Sadly this month I was able to only put a few stitches into her.  I will say though I think her silhouette is coming out nicely! 

 

As for Shore Line Village, the walk way is taking shape quite nicely!  I am really looking forward to getting to that flower bush in the bottom left corner.

Shoreline Village Update

Hello everyone,  I am happy to say that I have something to show you on Shoreline.  But before I do that I would like to say a very Happy 6th Birthday to my baby girl.  Hope you have a fabulous day Janani! Mommy loves you!

 

And now onto the stitching, Shoreline has a massive amount of confetti in the entire chart, except for the sky.  Besides the sky I have become resigned to the fact that I will have to go through pages and pages of confetti to get my end result.  But honestly I don't mind, cause have you seen the end result!  I wish you could see it in person,  when you stand back from it a little it really looks amazing, and I can't wait to wash it and see what it will look like when it all comes together!  Anyway, so since there is so much going on it is slow progress on Shoreline, but still progress! 

 

In this one you can see the pathway beginning to take shape with the greenery on both sides.

 

In this photo more is getting done with the buildings, as will as the pathway starting to get filled in.

I'm looking forward to moving on, I really like working on the flowers!  They look so pretty!

Non stitching update and IHSW

Hello everyone!

With regards to the International Hermit and Stitch weekend, sadly I was unable to hermit.

I am just posting to tell you that I have had a busy couple of weeks, life wise, but am now ready to get back to my sitching!   So looking forward to that.  I have missed my sitching very much.  I am going to be working on my Shoreline Village in the near future, I was able to put just a few stitches here and there inbetween the busyness.  I hope to post soon with at least a wip pic.  Just cause I love posting pics, this is the last photo I have of my Shoreline.

QS Terra Fairy Sprite - 12930 / 34595

I managed to get some nice backgound stitching done!  I can't wait to fill the wing in some more, but I will probably be filling in more background befjore that!

She's like a rainbow of fall colors!!!  So beautiful!

QS Terra Fairy Sprite - 11926 / 34595

I am really enjoying working on my Terra!  She's coming along and I am getting to her wings now, which are turning out to be very colorful. 

Here you can see the outline of her fairy wings starting to appear!



Now I'm getting to see all the lovely colors that are going into those beautiful wings!

What I really love about this is the gradual shift between colors.  It happens so you don't even notice.  One minute you are stitshing dark brown and the next bright orange.  And when you step back and take a look, it all fits together beautifully.  The way the different shades of the colors blend together is amazing!  Thats one of the reasons I love crossstitching so much.  Simply said its just one 'x' after another.  But when you step back you can see that put together those little x's have created something quite beautiful!

Love Blooms - 636 / 320850

I have been working on this and I am happy with the progress.

Love Blooms

So I was stitching last night on the potrait that I was calling "Us" because I couldn't think of what to call it.  And I just happened to glance at the cover for the chart, and Michele from HAED had named it Love Blossoms.  I thought cool.  And then to check to see if I had just imagined it all I checked the tops of all the other pages and they had Love Blooms on it.  So I thought ok I will just pick one of them.  And with the help of my stithching buddies I chose "Love Blooms"

I completed one page!!!!........Sort of!

And moved onto the next page.  This weekend was crazy busy, so hoping I will get a chance soon to do some decent progress on this one!
