SK Winter Wings

So after putting away Shore Line village for a while I picked up one of my smaller ones to have a go at!  I am determined to finish some of the smaller ones on my WIP list, to give me more time to work on other ones!!!  So I hauled out SK Winter Wings.  I have to say I really get excited when I start in on one of my wips when its their turn in my rotation!  I think thats why I do a rotation with so many on the go at a time!  I get bored easily!  This way I get to work on all of them at some point  in time and I am still super interested in working on that particular piece!  So anyway, here's what I had on SK Winter Wings before this recent stitching session with her...

And here she is after stitching for a couple of days...

I should be soon getting to her face!  Which will be really exciting!

Happy Stitching!!!

Shore Line Village 7th Page Finish!!!!!

I did it!!!!!!  I Said I wouldn't be back unless it was a page finish!  And I couldn't wait, I finished it and am so happy!!! I have to say the pictures look pretty good, but IRL it looks amazing!  If you stand far enough away it looks like a painting!  I brought it in to work to shoe the girls and they said the same thing!  So again....

Near.....

Far.....
The confetti in this one is unreal,  but I love the effect it has on the stitching.  Its a headache worth stitching!  I think my favourite part of the picture is the greenery winding its way from the window around the corner of the house!  I love all the little details that are coming out, that I don't really see until I step away like this!

Happy stitching Everyone!

Shore Line Village - 49019 / 161550

I think I am just a few hundred stitches short of finishing the page!!!  Its getting exciting.  I wanted to keep going last night, but knew that I had to stop, it was getting late!  So I am very much looking forward to picking up where I left off last night!

Near

Far

For those of you are familiar with Sesame Street, I feel like I should be doing a Grover voice to accompany my Near and Far Pics!

I want to wait for the page finish before posting again!  So if I don't you know why!

Happy Stitching!

January IHSW & Shore Line Village 48487 / 161550

I made some progress this weekend, although I would have liked to hermit a bit more than I did!  I have managed to get the first few columns of ten done finishing all those lone stitches.  I hate when there is just one stitch that you have to stitch!  Takes a lot of time, but is satisfying when its done.  And granted half of those lone stitches are ones that I missed the first time around!

From Afar

And closer up

Next in line for finishing is the beige building and the walkway and the red flower bushes!

Happy Stitching!

Shore Line Village 48236 / 161550

I am making my way through working in a 30 stitches wide column.  The confetti was getting too much and spread out too much for me to continue working the page as a whole.  Its filling up nicely now though!

Almost finished with the flowers and bushes on the left side of the pathway, and made some good progress with half the pathway also!

Shoreline Village Update

I am working my way through this page.  As I get closer to the end I am finding the stitches that are left are getting difficult for me as they are all over the page.  So I am going to try to finish the rest of the page in a ten stitch column at a time from the left to make sure I don't miss any rogue stitches.

I got a new camera that was delivered yesturday so I tried a few settings and I think I found the right one here's what I had done after last night,

So as I was saying the first column is getting filled out.  the top where the house is, is done, and I'm getting to the flowers and greenery at the bottom.  Its really satisfying to see a section fill up completely, as I move along.  And I am finding the odd stitch that I had missed.  All in all very happy with my progress.

QS Siberian Forest & Shore Line Village

Hi Everyone!  Its switch over time in my stitching rotation.  I will show you my last little bit that I did on QS Siberian Forest before I picked up SLV.

Its coming along nicely.

Monique, you had asked how I keep track of my stitches.  Well Since I cross country stitch, I will start with the first symbol in the corner of the page that I am working on and find all of them and highlight them (in yellow).  Once I have stitched them I will highlight them again ( the same stitches) with a different color(Pink).  This way when I highlight the next symbol I can see it nicely what I have to stitch next.  Because what ever is orange (yellow and pink combined) will be what I have already stitched.  I find this really convenient because this way now my stitching looks just like my chart!
Hope this helps you and that I didn't confuse you too much!

I hadn't realised how much I had missed stitching on SLV until I stitched on it last night.  By the time I got my self organised with everything I needed, it was quite late and I could do only so much before I had to put it away.  But I am farely sure that I will have a page finish by the time SLV finishes its turn in my rotation!

Can't wait!

QS Siberian Forest 1496 / 20449

I am so much enjoying stitching!   Its such a lovely hobby!  I think I can kind of make out where I am in the first page of my tiger.  I was thinking that he would be asymmetrical but he is in fact off centre.

So I do believe that the dark section on the bottom of the page is actually the top and down the side of his nose under the eye on the left side!  So I think the eye will be appearing there just above the long line of stitches on the left!  I love trying to figure out whats what!

Until the next Stitch!

January 9/12 WIPocalypse Update - QS Siberian Forest 1092 / 20449

Today I am writing about my new start for the new year!  It is also my WIPocalypse post for this month! So far in 2012 I have been working on my EMS Baby Peacock, which I finished.  Sorry for being repeatative, but I have to post about it again for the Wipocalypse!  I am happy to report that my friend absolutely loved all three of the Animal Babies that I gifted her!  She was very touched!

I promise that;s the last time I talk about it!
Now on to my new project for the year.  I am so happy to get back to my HAEDs.  I just love stitching them.  Although this one has me stumped.  I can't really see the picture emerging!  Usually I can pick it out fairly easily, but with this one even with the finished picture next to it I find it hard!  Oh well I guess I will just have to keep stitching!!!  Here are some progress pictures...

Happy Stitching everyone!

Animal Babies - Finished!

I wanted to start the new year with a finish so I've been holding off on posting in the new year.  First, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year!  Hope 2012 is a fabulous year!  I am clebrating the new year with my 101st post, and a fabulous finish!  Those of you who have been following me these last few months know about my best friend who is very special to me.  I wanted to do something for her to celebrate her becoming a mom for the third time!  So I searched and since I had always wanted to do these adorable Animal Babies by EMS I decided to give it a go.  I picked out the animals to match each of her children.  And I would like to share the results with you.  You have already seen the finished products of the first two, but I have them now framed so they are totally completed now.

I wanted to try my hand at framing them my self to see if I could do it.  I was a little hesitant, but thanks to my fellow blogger's tutorial , thanks Joyse!  I was able to do it, and I have to say I am very happy with the results, hope you all like them too.  Bare with me and my multitude of photos!!!

Baby Caterpillar

Baby Hedgehog

Baby Peacock!

All Three...

I hope my friend will love them as much as I do, otherwise I will keep them!!!
Now that this is done, I am back to stitching my HAEDs.  I will be starting the new year with a new start QS Siberian Forest.

Happy Stitching all!
