Golden Promises - 4365 / 183050

I got my confetti all finished on this page!!  I am missing one color, but that just one stitch, so I should be able to pick that up this week.  I am still hoping to finish the page by weeks end!

You don't realise until you fill in the confetti and really set it aside and look at do you see the picture emerging.  I am so excited about the way this page is turning out!!  Cant wait to get to the next page!  I believe I may get part of her in there!

Until the next stitch...

Golden Promises - 4082 / 182050

I am happy with the progress I made over the weekend.  Especially as it was a busy weekend life wise!  I am really looking forward to a page finish for this project!  I am aiming for the end of the week, lets see what happens.  I am hoping to get through the confetti at the bottom of the page next so that I will leave the majority of the page which is white, last, so I have a better chance of flying through that.

Heres the page as a whole:

And here are some close ups of the sparklies!

I have to say I was a little apprehensive about working with the Kreinik.  I have only ever used it in test stitching .  But to my surprise it wasn't that bad!  And having the thread heaven helped so much.  It made for much smoother stitching!!! I am happy with the Sparklies and am actually looking forward to much more!

Until the next Stitch!

SK Winter Wings - 2328 / 25116

My two 'Christmas' days of stitching are done for the month...

I am totally happy with the direction this is going in!  Although it wasn't until I actually posted a picture and stepped back from it that I saw yes -  she is there among all those blue and grey stitches!!! I can now actually see her outline!! Next months stitching should be interesting!!!  I'm interested to see how her hair will turn out with all those lovely flowers!!! And her dress!!! Can't wait!  Makes me really look forward to the next time I will pick her up!

Until the next Stitch....

SK Winter Wings - 1751 / 25116

I had a busy night so I only did a few hundred stitches on Winter Wings.  I'm still waiting to 'see' something.  It may take a while for things to fill out!

Its interesting though how its coming together!  Right now it looks nothing like what the finished product should be!

Until the next Stitch!

IHSW - Forget-Me-Not - Golden Promises

So its the end of another IHSW.  I was able to finish my page on Forget Me Not!!! And I absolutely love the spot of blue in the bottom right corner.

After I finished this I picked up my Golden Promises to try and get a few stitches in her!

I am happy to have finished the page on Forget Me Not, and even happier to pick up Golden.  Tonight as part of the Christmas/Winter Sal that I do on every 24 and 25 I will be working on Winter Wings for a couple of nights, then back to Golden.
Joyse,  my sons recital was fabulous!  8-10 year olds doing hip hop!  It couldnt get any better!  Next month I have my daughters ballet recital.  That should be real cute!

Happy Stitching all!

Forget Me Not - 6587 / 240000

So I only got a little under 300 stitches in last night.  I was tired last night and I had to get my sons dance recital costume hemmed which I was putting off.  His recital is toight, so I may not get much done tonight either.  We'll see.  It is nice to see that I am makeing progress, you can't tell just to look at it, but when I compare to the previous picture I can tell!

I am so excited to get to the bottom right corner, I think in the symbols I spied some blue!  But I'm making myself wait to do that last!

Until the next stitch...

Forget Me Not - 6305 / 240000

Made a little more progress...

I really like taking a picture every day after I have stitched.  It helps me see that I really have made progress day to day, however small or big!  And with posting here I am able to see how my stitching has progressed.  Those of you out there following me, thanks for reading about my everyday stitching!

Forget Me Not - 5875 / 240000

Getting closer and closer to a page finish!  This page is fairly simple with all its big blocks.  I can't wait to get to all the lovely blues in this chart.  I think I may have a smidgen of blue in the bottom right corner coming up soon! We'll see...

Forget Me Not  - Page 1

I really like the design that has shown up in this background page!  If you look really hard it and squint your eyes a little it looks like a peacock feather!  lol!  I am really happy with my photo taking skills with my camera.  I finally figured out what the best settings would be for non natural light that doesn't wash the colors out and gives me a clear picture!

Until the next stitch...

Forget Me Not - 5124 / 240000

I am so happy to have gotten back to this chart!  It seems like forever since I last stitched on it!  And actually it's been almost a year since I last put a stitch in!  I love when I get back to a project that became a UFO, and it just refreshes my attitude about it and I am so excited to stitch on it again!

Forget Me Not - Before

Forget Me Not - After

So I have four more days with this in my rotation and my goal is to finish the page!  No pressure, I won't be disappointed if I don't, but I like to have something to aim towards!  I can't wait to finish with the greens and grey-greens!

Until the next Stitch...

QS Terra Fairy Sprite - 9738 / 34595

So my May 12th post disappeared. (Yea!  Its back! Thank you Blogger!) Blogger said all will be back to normal, it is, except for my missing post.  I'm hoping it will magically reappear on its own, cause I really don't want to re post it! Maybe it all happened because today is Friday the 13th!  But any way on to today!  I finished all the black in her hair, it really filled out!  Looks great.  She's done for now.

Next up in my rotation is Forget Me Not. Its been awhile and I am really looking forward to picking her up!  I have relegated two charts to the status of UFO in order to make room to work on that new project, which I talked about yesterday.  If my post does not come back I will re post about that later when I am not so upset about it not being there any more!

Happy Stitching everyone!

QS Terra Fairy Sprite - 9395 / 34595

So Last nightI got to start on my fairy's hair!  I got all the dark brown done, next comes the black, which I hope to finish tonight.  She's really coming along!

Its interesting to see it all come together.

So....... I wanted to do something special for my husband of 11 years.  I found one of my favourite pictures of the two of us and I had Heaven And Earth Designs custom chart it for me.

This photo was taked ten years ago!!!
Michele did a fabulous job!!!  I won't show you the charted version but show you as I stitch it.  I am planning on stitching it on 25 count Lugana.  Charted into it was a lot of Kreinik.  I decided to to some test stitching to see how I liked to stitch with Kreinik.  I also had some Petite Treasure Braid that I test stitched with also.  I did a few stitches with each, and surrounded them with DMC 3865, which is what color will be most around them.

The left two are with Kreinik.  The right two are with PTB.  The top two are 1 over 1 full cross.  The bottom two are sparklies tented, rest 1 over 1 full cross.  What do you guys think?  I found the Kreinik to be alot thicker than the PTB.  I don't like the tent combined with the full crosses. Both were unravelling equally as much. But I think that I am leaning towards the PTB for look and coverage.  I think the Kreinik stitched up a little bulky.  I also think the Kreinik is more silverly and the PTB is subtler, which I like.  Looks like I will go with PTB.  What's your opinion?

QS Terra Fairy Sprite - 8908 / 34595

More lovely greens.  I love how when you stitch them all together they totally blend together in a way that you wouldn't expect them to!   If you were to pull all the skeins of green that are in this background you would be like, well, they don't go together, and then you start stitching and its like huh!  they do!

You can start to see the outline of the second half of her face. She's looking a little lopsided to me!  I know that will change as I progress, I can't wait to get to her hair and those lovely wings of hers!!!

Until the next Stitch...

QS Terra Fairy Sprite - 8306 / 34595

So I am happy to say I finally picked up my needle!!!  Didn't I tell you it would make me feel better.  Stitching has a way of relaxing me like nothing else!   I working on my Terra Fairy Sprite.  I really like working with the greens in this one.  I am also trying something different to see if it will help cut down on bulk.  I am working 5 columns across rather than the whole page as I cross country.  And usually I go symbol to symbol across the top row but this time I am going to go down.  I managed to finish two colors last night.  Not bad after not stitching for a while!  Can't wait to get back to her tonight!

I think this way also I will get to her face faster!  A happy coincidence!

Lou: I am so looking forward to seeing you stitch Ice wind.  I will stitch vicariously through you, as I will not participate!
Anojaa: So glad you found the BB, I'll look forward to seeing you there!

Until the next Stitch...

My no stitch weekend

Unfortunately life has not been kind with my stitching time! This mothers day weekend I was busy with two sick children and then I got sick! Stomach bug this time.  We are all on the mend but I wish I had been able to put in at least one stitch in.  Stitching always makes me feel better.  Oh well we'll see how the rest of the week goes!
On the BB they are getting ready for the last freebie sal of the year!!  Thats a little scary to think that this year is almost half gone already!!  Lou recently asked me what chart I would choose if I were to participate.  Well first let me tell you that I will not be participating.  Although I am very tempted, but I really have too much on the go at the moment.  That being said, Lou, I was going back and forth between the Repunzel and Ice Wind, and I am pretty sure Ice wind would have won out!  I'll look forward to seeing you take part!

Till next time,  hopefully after I've stitched something!!!

Shore Line Village - 45118 / 161550

The houses on the left are finally coming together!! Its been fun stitching on this piece, especially when the stitches start coming together.  There are still a lot of invisible stitches in there that probably won't show up properly until the surrounding stitches are put in!

Please excuse my thumb! I think my favourite part is the vines that are hugging the corner of the grey cottage!

Also on a side note, a couple of weeks ago we had a birthday party for my sons 8th birthday and being a boy hes very into bakugons.  So I asked a very good friend of mine to make a cake for him, which she does as a hobby.  And she did such a fantastic job. The idea is that the bakugon is coming out of a nintendo 3DS.

Needless to say he loved it!

Until the next stitch...

Shore Line Village

So I've been MIA lately .  I've been spring cleaning a bit, and am getting over a bad headcold.  So I finally picked up my stitching last night and put in a few stitches.  My goal for the year is to finish a total of 8 pages on this chart.  When I made the goal I had 5 pages done, and I am currently working on the 7th page so I think I'm doing ok.  This page seems to be slow going, I haven't found my grove yet.  Maybe the next time I get back to it in my rotation will be better, as tonight will be my last night for now with it.

You can't see it but there are over 200 white stitches in there!  I'm pretty sure its the walkway with the shrubs on the sides.  But we'll see.  I love guessing at the details as the picture unfolds!

Until the next stitch...
